4-Days Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga Desert

After picking you up from your hotel/riad or the airport, we will head towards Ouarzazate. On the way, we will cross the High Atlas through the incredible Tizi n’Tichka pass, 2,260 meters high, where we will make stops to enjoy the incredible views. Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city where movies like Gladiator, Babe, and Lawrence of Arabia have been filmed. After the visit, we will take the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs towards Skoura, where we will stop at the Kasbah of Amredhyle. From here, we will head to Kelaat M’gouna, the capital of the Rose Valley, where in spring the whole area dresses in pink and a wonderful smell fills the air. We can visit shops dedicated to the production and sale of rose water, soaps, and cosmetics. We will continue towards the Dades Gorges, where we will stay. Hotel/kasbah/dinner.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey towards the Dades Valley and cross the incredible Todra Gorges to explore and enjoy the wonderful landscape of this valley. Then, continuing on the road towards Merzouga, we will cross the Jorf Palmeral, where the best dates come from. We will have lunch before reaching Erfoud, a small town known for fossil fragments. After lunch, we will head straight to Merzouga, where we will leave the vehicle to take a 1.5-hour camel ride and venture into the desert. At the end of the camel ride, we will arrive at the camp where we will spend the night. There, in the most wonderful landscape of Erg Chebbi desert, we will enjoy a delicious and authentic Moroccan dinner.

If there is something nobody should miss, it is enjoying a sunrise in the desert, so this day we will wake up early. After contemplating this magical moment, we will take the camels to a hotel where we can shower and have breakfast. On our way back to Ouarzazate, we will take a different route. Passing through the Tafilalet Palmeral and the town of Rissani (origin of the Alawi dynasty and former capital of the Alawi sultans), we will arrive at Alnif, where we will take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range. Amazed by the shapes and colors of these mountains, we will arrive at Tazarine, an important Berber village, N’kob, and finally the Draa Valley and its amazing palm grove. In the afternoon, we will cross the Anti Atlas through the Tizi n Tnifift pass at 1660 meters in the direction of Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night in a riad/kasbah.

After breakfast we will have time to visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios, the most important in Africa. We will travel to Marrakech contemplating along the way the beauty of the mountains dotted with Berber villages and the contrasts that the High Atlas offers us. We will arrive in Marrakech around 5 in the afternoon. Farewell, accommodation and end of our services.
