After breakfast in the riad, our journey begins toward Volubilis, crossing the Rif Mountains and a beautiful oak forest. We will stop in Volubilis to discover the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan pre-Christian history, then drive to the city of Meknes, founded in the seventeenth century, where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the historic sites of the medina, such as Bab el-Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later we head to the city of Fez, where we spend the night.

At 9:00 a.m., after breakfast, we begin our guided visit to the medina. The Fez medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, is one of the largest walled cities in the world. It was founded in the year 790 A.D. We will discover and walk through its narrow streets full of shops with fresh fruit, a great variety of spices, Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan handicrafts. We will visit the Royal Palace, the tanneries, the potters, and also the oldest university in the world, created before Oxford and the Sorbonne. We will have lunch in the centre of the medina in a typical restaurant. After lunch we complete the visit and return to your hotel around 4:00 p.m.
Accommodation tonight in a luxury haima tent with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4 - Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga Desert (2 nights)

We stop in Ifrane to enjoy its beauty and take memorable photos, then head to Azrou to see the Barbary monkeys in the cedar forest and continue to Midelt for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon we cross the Tizi n-Telghomt pass (1,907 m) to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of the Ziz Gorges, which offer incredible photo opportunities. Later we stop at a panoramic viewpoint over the Ziz Valley. The trip continues to Merzouga via Aoufous and Erfoud; as soon as we reach the Erg Chebbi dunes, we prepare for the experience of riding camels on the dunes for one hour to enjoy the sunset.

Day 5 - 4×4 Tour Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Khamlia Village

Today will be a full desert day. We get up before dawn to enjoy an unforgettable sunrise in the dunes. After a hearty breakfast, we circle Erg Chebbi, a stretch of sand desert where Morocco’s Grand Dune stands more than 250 m high, and take tracks followed by the former Paris-Dakar rally, with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background. We stop at the Tissardmine oasis, where fossil quarries are still found, and continue to a nomad settlement to learn some of the secrets of their life and customs. Then we stop at a panoramic point to view the whole Erg Chebbi. We arrive at the village of Khamlia, of Malian origin, where we relax with tea while enjoying a short spiritual Gnawa music concert. Afterwards we return to the hotel to enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool.

Day 6 - Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

If you get up early, the Sahara Desert offers an amazing sunrise. After breakfast you can return calmly by camel to your hotel at the edge of the dunes and appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes with the first light. After breakfast and a shower, we leave for the Todra Gorges, known as an important destination for climbers. These are the highest and narrowest gorges in western Morocco, where we can walk a little before heading to the Dades Valley.
