Itinerary

Day 1 - Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

We begin our trip in Tangier, the lively gateway to Africa, and head toward the Rif Mountains. Stop in Tetouan—known as the “white city” for its Andalusian-influenced buildings—to stroll through its UNESCO-listed medina. Continue on to Chefchaouen, the famous blue town where whitewashed houses and narrow lanes create a dreamlike setting. Free afternoon to explore Uta el-Hammam Square, sample local cuisine, and watch the sunset from the Spanish Mosque. Dinner and overnight in a charming riad inside the medina.

Day 2 - Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, we leave the Rif Mountains and drive to Volubilis, the impressive Roman ruins that preserve mosaics, temples, and centuries-old arches. Continue to Meknes, an imperial city famed for its walls and the monumental Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most beautiful gates. Brief walk through its medina and lively El Hedim Square. In the afternoon, arrive in Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. Dinner and overnight in a riad in the heart of the old medina.

Day 3 - Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Desert)

Breakfast and departure south through the Middle Atlas landscapes. Stop in Ifrane—called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and crisp air. Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to friendly Barbary macaques, and reach Midelt for lunch. The route then follows the spectacular Ziz Valley with its oases and kasbahs until we reach the Sahara gateway at Merzouga. In the afternoon, begin the desert adventure with a camel ride to watch the sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and a magical night in a Berber camp beneath the stars.

Day 4 - Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake early to enjoy sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels back to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for the stunning Todra Gorges, whose vertical walls soar up to 300 m—a paradise for nature lovers. Walk along the river and its surroundings before continuing to the Dades Valley, known as the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. Spectacular rock formations and Berber villages line the way to tonight’s traditional riad. Dinner included.

Day 5 - Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Breakfast in the riad and drive to Ouarzazate, the “gateway to the desert” and home of the famous Atlas film studios. Visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and setting for films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After the visit, cross the High Atlas via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), stopping for panoramic views and Berber villages en route. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 6 - Marrakech – Guided Visit

A day devoted to discovering the vibrant Red City with an expert local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), the Majorelle Gardens, and the Bahia Palace, admiring their exquisite architecture and décor. Stroll through the colourful souks of the medina, full of aromas, handicrafts, and life. Finish in Jemaa el-Fnaa Square—the pulsing heart of the city—with its storytellers, musicians, and food stalls. Free afternoon to keep exploring or relax.
