Itinerary

Day 1 - Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

This tour begins either at the airport or your hotel. First, we visit the Hassan II Mosque—the tallest mosque in the world and the second largest. We then travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where we will see the Hassan Tower (an unfinished mosque minaret, 44 m high but originally designed to reach about 86 m) and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Afterwards we head to Chefchaouen, the blue-and-white city.
Dinner and overnight in riad/hotel.

Day 2 - Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast we drive toward Volubilis, an ancient Roman city founded in the 3rd century BC, home to Morocco’s best-preserved and most-visited archaeological remains, with beautiful valley and hillside views. After visiting the ruins we continue to Meknes (founded in the 17th century) for lunch; in the afternoon we visit historic sites of the medina such as Bab el-Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later we go on to Fez for the night.
Hotel/riad in Fez.

Day 3 - Fez – Ifrane – Midelt

At 09:00, after breakfast, we begin our guided visit of Fez’s old medina. The Fez medina, founded in AD 790 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, is one of the world’s largest walled cities. We explore its narrow streets full of shops selling fresh fruit, many spices, Berber carpets and other Moroccan crafts. We visit the Royal Palace, the tanneries, the potters and also the University of Al-Quaraouiyine—the oldest in the world, founded before Oxford and the Sorbonne. We lunch in a typical restaurant in the medina, then drive on to the Middle Atlas Mountains for the night, crossing Ifrane National Park. We pause in Ifrane to enjoy its beauty and take memorable photos, then continue to the cedar forest to see Barbary macaques before reaching our hotel.
Dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 4 - Midelt – Ziz Valley – Desert

After breakfast we set out for the Sahara, crossing the Tizi n-Telghomt pass (1,907 m) to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of the Ziz Gorges, which offer great photo opportunities. We stop at a panoramic viewpoint over the Ziz Valley, then continue to Merzouga via Aoufous and Erfoud. On arrival at the Erg Chebbi dunes we prepare for a one-hour camel ride to enjoy a spectacular sunset and spend a night under a blanket of stars with a Tuareg traditional music show.
Overnight in haima, with dinner and breakfast.

Day 5 - Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate

We start the day by witnessing sunrise in the desert—an experience not to be missed. After breakfast we ride our camels back to the starting point, then depart for the Todra Gorges, famous among climbers. These are the highest and narrowest gorges in western Morocco; we can walk a little and enjoy spectacular views. After lunch we head to the Valley of the Roses and then continue to Ouarzazate.
Accommodation in hotel/kasbah with dinner and breakfast.

Day 6 - Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Breakfast, then a visit to the Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Today’s 200 km journey to Marrakech crosses the High Atlas via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2,260 m). We follow the old caravan route through the Ounila Valley, where there are cave-built kasbahs, and also visit the Telouet Kasbah, before continuing to the Red City of Marrakech.
Overnight in Marrakech with breakfast.

Day 7 - Marrakech – Casablanca

At 09:00, after breakfast, we begin our Marrakech visit. Founded in 1062, Marrakech has many UNESCO-listed monuments and is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. A local guide will reveal the secrets of Morocco’s second-oldest city.

  • Koutoubia Mosque (exterior).
  • Bahia Palace (late 19th century).
  • Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the city’s main square with food stalls, cafés, juice stands, henna artists, snake charmers, musicians, dancers and more.
After lunch we drive three hours back to Casablanca.
End of our services.
