After breakfast at the riad, our journey begins toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities (founded in the 17th century). We will visit Bab al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We then drive to Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins and learn about Morocco’s pre-Christian history. Next we continue toward Chefchaouen, crossing the Rif Mountains and a beautiful oak forest. Located within the only intercontinental natural park, Chefchaouen is a charming white-and-blue town nestled in the mountains. It offers visitors wonderful scenery, local handicraft displays, and a tranquility hard to find elsewhere. Chefchaouen invites you to stroll, enjoy, and lose yourself in its fantastic narrow streets lined with blue-and-white houses that make the city unique. Optionally, you can hike up to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast you will have free time to enjoy the magic of Chefchaouen at your own pace. Wander the narrow cobblestone lanes adorned with flowerpots and colorful doors—perfect for unforgettable photos—and relax in the city’s lively atmosphere. At 1:00 p.m. we meet to begin the return to Fez, discovering new mountain landscapes and small rural villages along the way. We arrive back in Fez later in the day and transfer to your next destination, marking the end of the excursion.
