The 5-day desert tour from Marrakech explores the nomadic culture and dunes of Merzouga. It includes visits to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Ouarzazate film studios, the Dades and Todra Gorges, and the vast Draa Valley, with a night in a luxury desert camp.

After pickup from your hotel or riad, we drive to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2,260 m). We visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Then we travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at the Amridhyle Kasbah in Skoura, and continue through Kelaat M’gouna (Rose Valley) with a panoramic photo stop. We overnight in the Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, we continue toward Tinghir and visit the Todra Gorge with its stunning palm groves. We stop for lunch in Tinejdad and continue to Merzouga. At the hotel, you can relax and enjoy the pool. We leave our luggage there and ride camels into the dunes for sunset and a magical evening under the stars. Dinner and overnight in a traditional nomad-style tent made of camel hair.
Wake up early to enjoy the desert sunrise. After breakfast, we begin a 4×4 adventure around Erg Chebbi, visiting the Paris-Dakar rally route, fossil fields in Tissardmine, and a nomadic family to learn about their lifestyle. Then we visit Khamlia, a village of Malian origin, to enjoy Gnawa spiritual music and tea.
In the afternoon, we return to the hotel to relax. At 4:00 PM, we enjoy an optional quad ride in the dunes and sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After sunrise from the hotel terrace and breakfast, we drive through a different desert route back to Ouarzazate. We pass the Tafilalet palm grove and the town of Rissani (birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty), reach Alnif, and cross the Anti-Atlas mountains. We visit Tazarine and N’kob, and continue through the Draa Valley. By afternoon, we cross the Anti-Atlas via the Tizi Ntnifift pass (1,660 m) and reach Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios. We then return to Marrakech, enjoying the mountain views and traditional Berber villages along the way. Arrival in Marrakech is expected at around 4:00 PM.
