Option 1: A private desert tour (recommended)
A private tour with a driver is the most popular choice because the road itself is part of the experience. You stop at Berber villages, argan cooperatives, film studios in Ouarzazate and viewpoints over the Dades “Monkey Fingers”. Choose the length that suits you:

Option 2: Bus
CTM and Supratours run buses from Marrakech to Merzouga or Rissani, often with a change. The journey takes 12–14 hours and does not stop at the sights. It is cheap but you arrive tired and still need a local agency for the camel trek and camp.
Option 3: Self-drive
